State Spotlight

State EMS Spotlight

Each month the NASEMSO Web Site will feature a State Spotlight Page to highlight EMS in a specific state. We hope to collect profiles from each state.

Here is our line-up for the coming months:

  1. December 2008: Florida
  2. January 2009: Alabama
  3. February 2009: Send your profile now to be the State Spotlight for February!
Archived Spotlights:
  1. September 2008: Wyoming
  2. October 2008: Ohio
  3. November 2008: Colorado

Simply answer these questions to build your state EMS office profile:

  • Briefly describe the structure, staffing, and funding of your state EMS program.
  • What is the biggest challenge facing your state EMS program, and what possible solutions exist?
  • What is the most noteworthy accomplishment of your state EMS program to date or recently?
  • If you could ask your fellow state EMS officials one question, what would it be? (Be sure to include your e-mail address because we’re hoping that you’ll get answers from fellow members.)

Submit your profile:

Add a little additional info if you like, and e-mail your state EMS profile to Karen Thompson at thompson@nasemso.org. You’ll be placed on the list (first-come, first served) to have a State EMS Spotlight Page. Remember – we’re looking for a short, succinct profile (no more than 600 words tops) of your state EMS, not a long treatise. Just a few sentences per item should do it, so it won't be hard to participate.
