About the Spring Meeting

The NASEMSO Spring Meeting is now the organization's Annual Meeting. Its purpose is to address emergency medical services, medical transportation, and homeland security legislative and regulatory issues; the EMS work force; and NASEMSO project updates, including model rules for ambulance vehicle design, model interstate compact for personnel licensure, model EMS clinical guidelines, air medical model rules, intelligent transportation and traffic incident management developments, model trauma plan, fatigue in EMS, EMS scope of practice, and more.

Who Should Attend

The NASEMSO Spring Meeting is planned for members of NASEMSO and federal officials with a role in emergency medical services. Corporate leaders with an interest in advancing science and technology related to products and services will find a unique opportunity to interact with attendees. Affiliated organizations and individuals with an interest in NASEMSO activities are welcome to attend.

Optional Outing: Discover the World of Mardi Gras

Mardi Gras World: Monday, Mar. 6, 2017, 5:30-9:00 p.m.
See Mardi Gras magic created right before your eyes in this maze of amazing carnival creations. Explore Blaine Kern Studios, an operating workshop that has created breathtaking floats for Mardi Gras and other parades around the world since 1947. Learn Mardi Gras history and culture, watch artists and sculptors create majestic floats, and take home a Mardi Gras experience you’ll never forget. The $99.00 per person outing fee includes transportation to the event, the Mardi Gras World tour, dinner and bar.

Registration: To participate in NASEMSO’s Spring 2017 Optional Outing, complete the registration form, and submit it with payment or credit card information to NASEMSO Headquarters by Feb. 17, 2017.

State Souvenir Exchange

State EMS officials are invited to join in the "State Souvenir Exchange.” Bring an item representative of your state (and of nominal cost) for an exchange with your colleagues. Don’t miss the opportunity to educate attendees about your state in this entertaining event to be held at the Hexagon Event on Tuesday evening.

Cancellation Policy

  • All cancellations must be provided in writing.
  • Written cancellations can be emailed to info@nasemso.org, faxed to 703-241-5603, or mailed to NASEMSO Headquarters (201 Park Washington Court, Falls Church, VA 22046). Verbal cancellationswill notbe accepted. NASEMSO headquarters will provide you a cancellation number to confirm receipt of your cancellation.
  • We understand that plans may change due to circumstances beyond your control. If you are unable to attend the NASEMSO meeting, you may transfer your registration to another individual. Identify the person attending in your place, and provide complete contact information.
  • If you must cancel, please do so in writing by Feb. 13, 2017. NASEMSO will provide a full refund. We regret that we cannot refund any fees as of Feb. 14, 2017, because we must submit complete commitments for facilities, materials and meals.
  • If we do not hear from you by Feb. 13, 2017, we assume that you will participate based on your registration and will incur costs on your behalf. Therefore, if you do not cancel, your registration fees are due even if you do not attend.
