Emergency Medical Specialist – South Dakota Department of Health
The South Dakota Department of Health is hiring a full-time Emergency Medical Specialist to support EMS across the state.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee licensing, compliance, and inspections of ambulance services
• Support statewide EMS, trauma, and stroke system coordination
• Provide technical guidance to EMS stakeholders and rural communities
• Monitor electronic patient care reporting (ePCR)

Qualifications:

• EMT license or higher; 5+ years EMS experience preferred
• Knowledge of EMS operations, regulations, and rural EMS challenges
• Ability to travel throughout South Dakota
